Scope : Concrete grinding, sealing, and clear coating for an event space floor.

FlooringPro was contracted to perform concrete grinding, sealing, and clear coating services at the Burswood Events Centre. The project involved preparing the concrete floor for upcoming events, requiring a smooth and durable finish suitable for a high-traffic area.

Grinding : To provide a smooth, even surface across the event space floor by grinding the existing concrete, removing imperfections and preparing it for the sealing process.

Sealing : Applying a protective sealant to ensure the concrete floor's longevity and protect it from future wear and tear.

Clear Coating : Adding a clear coat over the sealed surface to provide an attractive, durable finish that can withstand heavy foot traffic during events.

Discoloration in the Concrete: The concrete had several deep-set stains, but our team successfully removed the majority of them through multiple rounds of grinding. The few remaining stains were minimized as much as possible, without compromising the structural integrity of the concrete, resulting in a significantly improved and polished finish.

Client Scheduling : The project required flexibility due to the client’s schedule, with several reschedules accommodated to ensure the client’s availability during the work.

The project was completed successfully. Despite some discoloration that was unavoidable due to the nature of the concrete, the client was satisfied with the final result. The floor now has a clean, professional finish, protected by a clear coat, and is ready for high-traffic events.
